Zapper Super Hero Morphsuits

Morphsuits have recently brought out a range of "digital zapper" suits for Fancy Dress costumes. In the styling of our favorite super heroes. With full face masks included Morphsuits are renowned for having amazing suits that you can breathe and drink through (if you want to that is!)

Now I wouldn't say these costumes are a cheap alternative at the Party - but they are fantastic and well worth a look! Starting at £42.49 these are SUPER high quality costumes and will last wear over and over, the latex means that they can fit most sizes and shapes depending on how tall you are.

The Zapper technology means you can take photos or videos of your friends (who are wearing the costumes) and they will look like they are using the Super Heroes special powers! All you have to do is download the app onto your iPhone, Android or Tablet and then turn the app on and take photos or videos! Great fun at a Party and an amazing novelty. I would love to see 5 people in one of each of these great costumes at a Party!

It really is fantastic and I have attached a video so you can see how it works. Iron Man can thrust his arm in the air and shoot his hand repulser, Spider Man can shoot his spider webs and Wolverine can sheath his claws! Along with Deadpool and Captain America and some fantastic graphics check them out in the official video here:

Fancy Dress at Museums to make it more engaging for visitors....

So recently I went to a Museum recently and they are just not what I remember as a child. Exhibitions and museums are not exclusively for children or the younger generations but lets be honest they are ultimately the easiest way for younger people to learn and interact with History on a more engaging level.

My favorite museum as a child was "The Tales of Robin Hood" maybe more of an attraction than education center but we did learn from the place. One of the most notable things about this center that I remember is the tour guides. They were always in full Fancy Dress Costumes. Head to toe Robin Hood, complete with Swords, Hats, Boots the lot!

This made the whole experience more enjoyable for everyone and encouraged the children to speak to the tour guides and ask questions about everything - there dress, the time period. I cant understand that when I go to similar places now this idea has gone.

For an easy way to make you're educational experience an engaging, memorable and fun one grab some costumes! It will make such a difference in the hearsay about the place and get people talking about it!

Egyptian exhibit? Grab a Cleopatra costume.

Medieval themed? We have a Robin Hood Ladies costume that is suitable for the era and our favorite Brave Crusader Knight outfit for men which is great for those Guard guides!

Caveman or Prehistoric? Get a full costume from us with a tunic, head tie, wrist cuffs and leg warmers too, this Caveman costume is a favorite in general in our store as well.

Greek or Roman museum? We have a great Caesar costume and an even better Gladiator outfit that has really realistic features, we also have a Ladies Gladiator too.

Ill be going on Holiday tomorrow but be back soon with more Fancy Dress info for you all on the 22nd!
Might grab a Warrior Princess Costume myself as im off to see the Colleseums in Italy!

Pretty in Pink on your Hen Do

So you have a Hen Do sash, check! Got some booze, check!
Now all you need is some silly little bits to make your night more fun! - and you won't break the bank.

All you need now is a few more finishing touches for a outfit that isn't too over the top (but if you want to go over the top and all out, do so! We have so many costumes you could wear in a group) but today I will be looking at subtle little accessories you could group together for a Fancy Dress Costume.

Getting all dressed up for your night out on a hen do has changed over the years greatly. Some people like to go all out and dress up in crazy outfits but some just want to have a bit of fun without the Fancy Dress overhaul. There are some great alternatives that may also keep the price down loads too.

Why not ask your hen party to all dress in black (everyone has a little black dress! If they don't they will certainly have a pair of leggins and at top kicking about too) and when they are dressed plain add a neon colour.

I recommend the stereotypical pink for your stag!
You can add a pink Tutu for £7.99 that you can get here.
Why not get the Bride to be a white Tutu seeing as shes is tying the knot?

Get a 6 pack of Tiaras for everyone going on the hen do for just £7.49 - that's just £1.25 per person, who could say no to a bit of sparkle on your head on your cheesey evening out? Get yours here.
Oh and don't forget some little Fairy Wands as well! You get 12 in a pack so you will have plenty to stir up some cocktails and grant some wishes on your adventures in the evening.

No pretty Princess should be without her Fairy Wings on a big night out - get a selection of colours and choose from Pink Wings, Purple Wings and White Wings maybe just for the special lady of the night as she is getting married.

A firm favorite is our Satin Pink Gloves and we even have White Gloves for the Bride! Perfect.

Just getting a few of these simple props, tutus, wands, wings and tiaras can really make the Brides night that bit more special so grab a few and Party the night away!

Childrens Fancy Dress overview

I love the world of Fairytale and I think that the best costumes are the golden oldies. From Peter Pan Pirates to Little Red Riding Hood I think you can dress in a great costume, look great and be comfortable at the Party. Fairies are firm favorites amongst young girls and its because the costume are easy to wear, magical and so darn cute! Even boys can get in on the action - dress up as dragon slaying knights of the realm and magical garden Gnomes or elves.

Costumes and Fancy Dress is also a great way for your kids to learn. Have you ever thought about donning a Robin Hood Costume to teach them about the History of Nottingham? Or what about dressing as the Wicked Witch of the West to get them really interested in books and the Wizard of Oz? The possibilities are endless and its such a unique way of learning.

If you want to dress up but are a little short on cash then you can invest in Fairy Wings or a Tiara or two for your little princess to use. Or grab a Knights sword or a Pirates Parrot for a bit of fun! From Victorian Musket Guns to Captain Hook's Hook there is a Story to be told and a lesson to learn. Why not engage and teach kids in a fun way with Fancy Dress!

Pussy Cat Sexy Fancy Dress

Who said Animal Fancy Dress wasn't a good costume idea?

Take the all out approach to a Feline frenzy Cat Costume with a fantastic theatrical Cat headdress, with wiry black and white styled hair it really sets the look off! With Black kitty ears and forehead fur it is the main element to a original costume.

Add our burlesque Moulin Rouge Leopard print costume to the  mix for cat patterned corset and girly black tutu to add uniqueness to your ensemble.

http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/n-arxsrf/ey0c5xi/products/208/images/1231/90f37a83-feb9-4e3f-bd5e-56dc22a79883__80218.1395151878.1280.1280.jpg?c=1http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/n-arxsrf/ey0c5xi/products/156/images/1343/814d7b22-2be8-4c44-abe6-1fb993c49d18__07559.1395663446.1280.1280.jpg?c=1

Then all you have to do is add some sexy tights if you fancy vamping up your outfit and maybe a bit of face paint for those whiskers or just add some eyeliner to the tip of your nose and upper lip for a cool cat look.

Maybe add some bold eyeliner and wing out for a seductive cat eye shape. Smoky eyeliner will help create definition around your eyes and we all know cats eyes are one of their best features.

For an even better look why not mimic some leopard print onto your body? Maybe on your chest, arms and side of your face? This is a great way to incorporate your costume into your accessories and gives a well rounded look.

Men's Fancy Dress Costumes

A lot of Men and Women hate the thought of dressing up in a Costume. But your best friend is having that party next weekend and you know you should make the effort.

Men in particular don't fancy donning a full costume but at Fancy Dress VIP we make it easy for you! I have three costumes that all cost from £21 to £30 in total and even less if you don't want to bother with accessories (which I am against btw!) These all have great detail and don't look like you have just gone to a cheap pound store for our ensemble.

Costume number 1: The Pimp £27.99
Every lad loves a good Pimp costume, whether you are going as Hugh Hefner or just a real 70's style Gangster Pimp. They are easy to dress as and you can have a laugh in this type of Costume.
We have the ultimate in Pimp Costume outfit a GOLD and leopard print suit. Nothing says Pimp more than gold right? This Gold suit combo is a great way to get attention but also look like you went all out! It comes with three pieces, so you get a Gold jacket, Gold trousers and a matching Pimp Hat to go with it.
Add a Gold Chain for £5.29 and why not add a stick on moustache as well? Save a few pennies and you could just draw one on too.

The Pimp: On a budget
Need to save some money? Grab some old grey trousers and draw thick black pinstripes up them with a marker pen. Wear a white shirt open and draw on a moustache or buy a stick on one and get a Gold medallion chain from us, hey presto all you had to buy was a moustatche and Gold chain!

Costume number 2: The Brave Crusader Knight £21.99
This is a firm favorite even outside the UK! Go to the party as the hero and dress as a knight of the realm in this get up. At £21 it doesn't break the bank either. You get so much for your money with this outfit as well! Just add a dagger with it for only £4.49 and you are sorted for the Party.

This costume includes:
  • Removable Cape
  • Tunic
  • Body Armour
  • Arm Bands
  • Cuffs
  • Headband
  • Leg Guards
Now who could argue with that for just £21.99!

Costume number 3: The Caveman £22.50
There is something about this prehistoric costume that just gets our attention, maybe its that primal instinct attracting the ladies! It includes:
  • Tunic
  • Head Tie
  • Wrist Cuffs
  • Leg Warmers
So there is no need to mess about getting different bits as this comes with lots of bits and pieces to add to your outfit on the night.

We also have a range of more Men's costumes for you to choose from including two favorites The Sombrero Mexican and Scurvy Pirate.

Want any help or to know more just let me know and I can help you look amazing at the Party.

Accessories for dressing up

Accessories are vital for a show-stopping Fancy Dress Costume. The Queen of Hearts wouldn't forget her Crown and Little Red Riding Hood would be pretty rubbish without her Hood!

Thankfully our costumes come with the vital accessories but there is always a little something that can really make your costume spectacular. Ladies ensembles can be easily vamped up with a pair of stockings or tights which make them much more sexier and to be honest a lot more comfortable, sometimes getting in Fancy Dress means you'd like to cover up in certain places, a pair of cute white stockings with bows are perfect for this. Don't like stockings? Why not add a pair of frilly lacey ankle socks so your feet don't hurt in those killer heels!

Gloves - Gloves are a fantastic way to bring some class to a costume. Whether you are going as a 1920's Flapper Girl or want to vamp up a Fairytale costume they are perfect. In satin Black, White or Pink you can have your pick as to what goes with your outfit best. Or maybe opt for some Gothic lace black gloves if you are going for a more Steampunk type look.

Are you looking to recreate a look with an existing costume? If your outfit lacks shape and you want to 'alter' it in a way then why not put on a Tutu underneath. It is a cheap and easy solution to altering an outfit without going for the scissors! You can also layer up with more than one to get a real va-va-voom style going on underneath your skirt.

Wigs are a great way to transform your look. I know if I put on a Neon Pink Wig that I look completely different! Curly Blonde, long Blonde bombshell, bright green or multicoloured don a Wig at the Party and you could be a completely different person and really get into character. I went to a Party last week and went for a Katy Perry inspired Candy Fairy look, it's really fun and includes:
  • Dress
  • Hair Clip
  • Wings
  • Glovelettes
  • Socks
  • Wand
So I just added some short frilly white ankle socks and a short neon pink bob wig and I must say I thought I looked pretty good. This costume is a good example of how accessories liven up a costume, when little details come together they really look amazing. When I get a bit of confidence ill add some pics for you all!

Wigs, masks, inflatable props - there are so many types of accessories to think about when it comes to the Fancy Dress world. Going as a Pirate? Don't forget your pet Parrot and Musket Gun. Going as a Gladiator? Don't forget your sword!

If you want any help accessorising your Costume just let me know and ill help you out.

I know it is really early but what do you all look for in a Halloween Costume?

I know it is really early but what do you all look for in a Halloween Costume? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

We are stocking up and ordering our Halloween ranges and I'm wondering what kind of things people are looking for. It is a common favorite time of the year for thousands so make sure you are ready in 2014.

Ladies Halloween Costumes tend to range into the Short Tutu variety and incorporate girly elements into the spooky, gory and make them sexy. One of my personal favorites is the Spooky Ballerina Skeleton although it is fitted on top it steps away from the PVC Catsuit with bones painted on and I think its a really fun alternative. I'm wagering that this costume is going to be a big seller this year. Painting your face for Halloween is becoming something that adults can do too now! What better way to make this outfit come alive than painting your face as an undead Skeleton?

Face painting has been revolutionized in the past year, by that I mean its been made easier for Joe Bloggs to be a master face painter! The easiest things to use are Make Up Sticks which are essentially body paint in a crayon. Made to be used like a pen these have real precision so if you are not so good with a paint brush these will save you a lot of time and effort and allow you to make some great masterpieces on yourself and your friends. Start with a White make up base which can be found in lots of face paint kits like our Basic Clown Make-Up Kit and get drawing away, or just paint onto bare skin.

Ill be storing up some ideas until October for a very festive Halloween (which is on a Friday this year so make sure you get ready for a party!)

2013's Halloween favourites have to be the Women's Sexy Clown Costumes....

We are adding a Tricksterina Black and White Jester Clown Lady to our Harlequin Honey collection this year so it is sure to be a sell out along with the Jesterina and Harlequin Honey (which sell out every year without fail!)

Pre-order our firm favourite - the Harlequin Honey now if you want to ensure you get one this year. You could also add a Wig to top off your outfit or get some red hair spray paint to finish the look. We are getting a larger quantity this year due to the popularity so if you would love to go to the Party as Batman's Harley Quinn I advise pre-ordering well before Hallows eve.

If you want to know the sexiest and most popular Halloween costumes then stay tuned, ill be talking about it more nearer the time and have loads of Halloween ideas to spruce up costumes and go as something a bit more original! Like adding some Bloody Stockings to that Sexy Red Riding Hood Costume you have kicking about in the back of your wardrobe to be a Zombie Dead Riding Hood...!
